About the role:

  • We are looking for a passionate and exceptional Associate Country Manager to lead and accelerate Karrot’s growth in Canada, as the face and voice of Karrot Canada. Karrot’s Associate Country Manager for Canada will build and lead a high-performing team.
  • The ideal candidate will play a critical role in the growth of one of Karrot’s newest and biggest opportunities. The Associate Country Manager will be essential in the scale up of our Canada region by identifying and analysing the potential of untapped markets in Canada and executing them. Most importantly, the successful candidate should possess the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, has a passion for the Karrot product, and is always thinking of opportunities to amplify the Karrot brand.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and lead the growth strategy in Canada.
  • Recruit, build and manage world-class teams.
  • Drive local growth and business development efforts through partnerships with local communities.
  • Spearhead strategy, planning, and execution of launch into new markets by understanding Karrot’s market positioning to maximize success.
  • Establish and grow the local team by overseeing recruitment, and training of local teams; drive team morale and form a coherent team culture.
  • Work closely with the founders and leadership team in South Korea across the Product, Engineering, Operations team to deliver the best user experience.

Qualifications:

  • Passionate about the world of online buying and selling.
  • A drive and commitment to succeed in a fast growing environment.
  • Exceptionally organized with excellent verbal and written skills and the ability to influence business partners at all levels of the organization.
  • An analytical and data-driven decision making mentality.
  • Experience with or strong excitement for a start-up environment.
  • Out-of-the box thinker who will find creative ways to hit growth targets.
  • Prior experience in online classifieds, or in a fast growing start-up during their hyper growth stage.
